Renew Iowa's Economy
Clint grew up in small-town Iowa. Northeast Iowa has so much going for it — great people, tight-knit communities, the Mississippi River, the Driftless region, rich farmland, and good schools and colleges. This is a place worth investing in, and worth moving to.
But Clint also sees what a lot of you see — empty storefronts on main streets, schools merging, and young people struggling to find good jobs close to home. Wages here aren't keeping up with the rest of the country. That's not okay, and it doesn't have to be this way.
With the right investment and the right priorities, there's no reason northeast Iowa can't be attracting new residents, growing businesses, and becoming an even stronger place to live, work, and raise a family.
Clint will fight to:
- Invest in rural Iowa to build a culture of innovation. Northeast Iowa's communities are stronger when they work together. Clint will push for regional cooperation and investment — bringing in resources for broadband, energy, hospitals, and utilities so that every corner of the district has what it needs to grow and thrive.
- Help for small business owners. Make it easier for people with a good idea to get a loan and get started — right here in Iowa, not somewhere else.
- Good union jobs. Clint will fight to pass the PRO Act, which protects your right to join a union and bargain for better pay and benefits. Strong unions mean stronger paychecks for everyone.
- A fair deal for family farmers. Pass a new Farm Bill that gives family farmers a real safety net — so you're not one bad harvest away from losing everything. And one that supports farmers in being good stewards of the land for generations to come.
- Build a strong and thriving workforce. Good jobs start with good schools. Clint will stand up for public education, expand apprenticeships, and create clear pathways into high-demand careers in the trades, healthcare, manufacturing, and more — so Iowans can build a good life right here at home.
- End chaotic, across-the-board tariffs. The administration’s ever-changing tariff policies are raising prices at the store, hurting farm exports, and making it hard for businesses to hire. Clint will work to fix that.
