Protect Our Soil and Water
Iowa has good bones. We've been blessed with beautiful and varied landscapes, rich soil, plentiful water, and the diverse and generous people who call this state home. These aren't just natural resources — they're the foundation of our economy, our communities, and our way of life. Clint believes we have a responsibility to protect them for the generations that come after us.
Clint will fight to:
- Support farmers who take care of the land. Expand conservation funding and preserve USDA staffing so that farmers who implement practices that protect soil and water have real financial support and technical help to do it right.
- Protect our waterways and reduce flooding. Support innovative conservation practices and easement programs that restore floodplains, maintain healthy waterways, and protect soil — naturally reducing flood risk and improving water quality for everyone downstream.
- Keep Iowa farmland in Iowa hands. Iowa's farmland belongs in the hands of Iowa farmers — not out-of-state investors or foreign buyers. Clint will support beginning farmer loans and technical assistance programs that give the next generation of family farmers a real shot at owning the land they work.
